Art Tutors
The Central Otago Art Society is always looking to connect with talented, friendly artists who enjoy sharing their skills with the community. If you’re interested in teaching a workshop with us, or if you’d simply like to chat about possibilities, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Upcoming Workshop: Felting with Ali Jackson
Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 July 2026, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Come along and try something unusual and beautiful!
With Ali you will learn the basics of wet felting and needle felting. Saturday’s focus will be on texture, 2D and 3D designs, and using machine and hand embroidery as overlay methods. You will create a small work and investigate ways of displaying work. On Sunday you will plan and craft your own design. At the end of the workshop, you will have two to three pieces of felted artwork made from beautiful fibres to take home.
All felting fibre will be supplied. Please bring two bath towels, one hand towel and a selection of landscape images for inspiration.
Beginners and young adults welcome.
